What Can I Do to Help?
Delaware Association for the Blind (DAB) is a non-profit 501(3)(c) organization, and qualifies for charitable gifts from individuals, organizations, foundations and corporations.
You can make a donation through our safe, secure PayPal account. A PayPal account is not required to make an online donation to DAB.
The Delaware Association for the Blind depends upon the generosity of the community for financial support. For almost 65 years, our community has demonstrated its concern for the quality of life for people who are blind or visually impaired with its donations of time, talent and dollars. We thank our community for this enduring commitment!
As a private, not-for-profit organization, DAB is not a state or federal agency and does not directly receive tax dollars. Most of the support for our programs and services comes from donations from caring individuals and community groups, bequests, endowment income, fundraising events and United Way designations.
Your Tax-deductible donation will enable DAB to offer effective programs and services to those who need them most, and to expand our efforts in serving the blind and visually impaired community.
Outright gifts such as cash, check, credit card or securities in all amounts are the most valuable gift you can make to the Delaware Association for the Blind. A gift receipt is sent so that you may take a charitable income tax deduction for your donation.

Contact Us about Other Ways to Give
United Way – You can designate your United Way gift to assist us in our mission by using DAB’s donor option.
Tribute Gift – Honor a loved one or friend by making a special Tribute gift to DAB. We’ll notify the honoree with a personalized card acknowledging your gift.
Memorial Gift – A memorial gift to DAB is a wonderful way to honor the memory of a relative or friend. A special acknowledgment will be sent to the family of the person memorialized.
A Gift of Stock or Real Estate – Whether your assets are substantial or modest, you can make a difference in DAB’s work. Invest in DAB with your gift of stock.
Legacy Gift – You can make a lasting contribution to the service of blind and visually impaired Delawareans by naming DAB as a beneficiary in your will, or a recipient of a portion of your estate, or by establishing a charitable trust.
Corporate Matching – Many corporations offer employee gift matches. Simply fill out the forms required by your corporation and send them to DAB with your check DAB will complete the remainder of the paperwork and will work with your company to do the rest. What a wonderful gift to give twice as much to the work of DAB.
Host a Fundraiser – You can make DAB the beneficiary of one of your events. The event can range from small to big and can include everything from a guest lecture to a dinner event. Please contact Ellen Spoehr espoehr@dabdel.org to discuss your idea prior to scheduling.
